Old-Fashioned
Soda Fountain
~Located
at 157 Village Road~
Coca-Cola has a long history of
being associated with pharmacies. It was invented by pharmacist John Pemberton on
1886 and has been served in many “drug store soda fountains” ever since.
Continuing the tradition by Ron and
Karen Buckmaster, current Lopez pharmacists Marge and Rick McCoy have recreated
this old-fashioned soda fountain with the help of craftsman Dave Stratton. We
wish to honor a simpler time in pharmacy when friends could gather together at
the neighborhood drug store for not only their medicine, but also good food and
good conversation.
The “good food” and wonderful treats are
the masterful handiwork of Nella Burt, proprietor of the Soda Fountain. Your
taste buds will be happy.
We have created the atmosphere and
supplied the food; we’ll let you add in a smile and the lively conversation.

So, feel free to stop by anytime. The Entrance is located
off the deck & The Soda Fountain is open at 7:30am – 5:00pm Monday thru
Saturday (closed Sundays). Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 11:00am. Lunch
and wonderful fountain treats are served all day long. Come and enjoy.
